THE PROBLEM

JMS Emballage runs industrial packaging distribution from two logistics platforms, on two business models at once: buying and reselling stock, and earning commission for connecting clients to factories. All of it ran on a no-code platform that had stopped fitting.

Three things were breaking. The tool could not be bent to the parts of the business that make JMS specific, so people worked around it. Performance had degraded to the point of blocking daily operations. And there was no consolidated view of revenue or margin, which left the company piloting on instinct rather than on numbers.

The constraint was that nothing could stop. Stock, orders, delivery notes, invoices and commissions all had to keep running through the switch.

THE SOLUTION

e replaced the no-code platform with an ERP built around how JMS actually works.

Stock moved from pallets to purchase units, the way the company buys and sells, with weighted average cost recalculated on every entry and kept in memory even when quantity hits zero. Each article and site carries three quantities: physical, sold-not-yet-shipped, and available.

Both business models are first-class. Stock-departure orders draw from a site and generate the acknowledgement and delivery note. Factory orders generate one supplier file per supplier, with purchase order and delivery note in sequence. Orders can be entered with no stock available instead of blocking the sale.

The document chain is automated end to end: provisional acknowledgement, acknowledgement, delivery note, purchase order, invoice, credit note, with the continuous numbering French law requires. Commissions compute themselves once an order is fully invoiced, on real shipped quantities rather than estimates.

Five user roles, each seeing only its own scope, on a dashboard that finally shows revenue and margin in one place.
